Busted!

Will loves his pacifier, which has been a relief, because I didn't want him to turn into a thumb sucker. Imagine my disdain to find him doing this in the pack-and-play tonight!!

He was quite pleased with himself and even spit out the binky and stuck his thumb back in his mouth. Stinker!

A Conversation

Will likes to have "conversations" with me. We did this for about 15 minutes the other day. I couldn't stop laughing!

Pictures!

Will has made a great new discovery- he found his hands and discovered that they are quite delicious! He likes to try and cram both fists into his mouth! Yum!
He also likes to chew on his frog.

And the other day I found him sucking on his arm. He gave himself a hickey! So funny!
Will LOVES this elephant from Grams. If he's awake and we put him in the pack-n-play (where the elephant lives) he will instantly turn and GRIN at the thing. It's hilarious. I need to try and get a video of it!
Look how big he's getting!

A couple more, just because!

Rock Chalk!

Will and I watched the KU game yesterday. He is coming along well in his KU fan ways!

Waving the wheat!

SWISSSSHHHHH! (said in Bob Davis voice)

Happy for a KU victory! This picture is from today, even though he has the same outfit on as those other smiling pics!

Baby Bargains!

Check out the bargain I got! All those clothes (mostly summer stuff and winter stuff for next year, hopefully I guessed the right sizes!) were about $90. Sounds like a lot for baby clothes, right?
7 pairs of pants.
4 pairs of shorts.
4 tee shirts.
3 polo shirt onesies.
5 plain onesies.
1 summer romper.
2 sleepers.

26 articles of clothing for $90. Works out to about $3.50/item. Plus, I got free shipping! Can't beat that.

I'm So Cute!

I've had lots of new adventures lately!
I went to the pediatrician and now I weigh 8lb 4 oz.

I'm making lots of funny faces!
I have lots of bad hair days with crazy stick-up hair! Even right after a bath, it still gets crazy!
I've had several real baths and I really like the tub- the first day I even tried to drink the bath water!

I discovered my fingers and thumb and now mom keeps pulling them out of my mouth and putting the pacifier in!
Nonni came to visit and we had so much fun! Mom was sure glad for all her help and she cried lots at the airport when it was time for Nonni to go back to Kansas.

Stay tuned for pictures from my first snow day!

More Pictures!

More pictures, because I'm an obnoxious mom who thinks my baby is the cutest baby in the history of the world. Sorry, but he's really cute!!

Tummy time- look how strong my muscles are!

Milk coma!!

So happy to be napping!

Cuddly little bug.

I like to cross my hands like I'm praying! (He did this on his own, he's done it several times, but we managed to get a pic this time!)

Look at Me!

We're home from the hospital and trying to figure things out!

You slept in your crib and mom only checked on you about 100 times per night between feeds.

You had your first sponge bath. You were not too happy to be naked and cold, but you showed us you were mad by peeing and pooping all over!

All decked out in KU gear for the KU-UCLA game. Your feet are so big these booties will probably only fit for one week!

Full Term!

We're officially full term, at 37+ weeks!

Now that our deluxe bedding has arrived, the baby room is ready!

Last load of baby laundry is in the wash.

The hospital bags are in the process of being packed.

A new camera is on the way to document Will's first days.

I think we're ready. Or as ready as we can be, at least!

Baby Update!

Things are progressing well on the baby front. I figured we better start updating this thing, so we'll be in the habit when we have millions of cute pictures to share with far-away family!

I'm 35 weeks and 1 day, and according to Jeremy, the baby will be born between one and two weeks before my due date. I hope he's right, but I'm not getting my hopes too high!

He's going to be named William Lawrence (and yes, KU basketball was involved in the name choice!).

I just finished washing all the teeny little clothes and socks, and realized I have no idea how many clothes we need! But, since I've never done this before, we'll just see how it goes and buy more stuff if we need it!

The room is almost finished, as you can see from the pictures below.

Looking in from the doorway.
The crib side. Waiting on homemade bedding accessories from Nonni in Kansas!
The changing table area.

An awesome picture painted by our niece Katlyn. The frame is being painted, so we should get that up on the wall in the next few days.

And for the adoring public, a picture of my ever expanding waistline. This is from last week, I was post-call and it is blurry, but you get the gist!
That's the update! More news as it comes!

2-Month Update

In case anyone still follows here, we haven't been posting, mainly because we don't have anything to post about. But here's a quick synopsis of the last 2 months.

We flew to KC in May and had a great week at my brother's graduation and Pan's brother's wedding. Lots of Oklahoma Joe's was eaten and Boulevard imbibed.

I flew back to KC in June and had a great time at my friend Scott's wedding.

Pan is now roughly halfway through the pregnancy. She's had a really good pregnancy thus far, in that she hasn't had much in the way of the typical pregnancy side effects. We did find out we are having a boy, which breaks the streak on my side of the family of having all girls. We're still super-excited and have begun looking harder at all the stuff we need to buy, including going to a 1 million square foot furniture store to look at expensive cribs and baby rooms. Too much.

We did fit in a trip to the beach (Wrightsville), where I managed to avoid spraining my ankle this time. We had a pretty fun trip, although we ate some terrible food along the Cape Fear River in Wilmington.

Pan is no longer an intern and is really enjoying her anesthesia residency thus far. She really enjoys the people she gets to work with and the much-improved lifestyle, compared to the first year.

That's really it. We've just been really busy with both of our jobs, traveling around a bit, and baby stuff.

Any ideas for baby boy names? I think I know my favorite, but Pan is still very undecided, so any suggestions are useful.
